Frequently Asked Questions

Your questions, answered.

How do I install the immersion controller into my unit?

Depending on the application, there are a number of ways to wire the immersion controller properly. Click here to download the instruction manual.

How to adjust the desired temperature setpoint?

Using a screwdriver, turn the dial on the front plate of the controller to the desired setpoint.

How do I change from Fahrenheit to Celsius?

The controller comes with the Fahrenheit temperature scale already installed. Each units comes with a Celsius scale in the controllers’ box. Simply remove the cover of the controller and switch out the Fahrenheit scale with the Celsius scale.

What’s the difference between an immersion controller and a line voltage thermostat?

An immersion controller is designed to sense temperatures of liquids/fluids inside equipment such as a boiler, hot water heater, etc. Whereas, a line voltage thermostat is designed to sense air temperature to control a fan, heater, louver, etc. to control the environments’ temperature. However, an immersion controller can also sense air temperature to regulate a fan, heater, louver etc. much like a line voltage thermostat, but it must be a remote sensing bulb model to actuate accurately.

Does Tempro’s immersion controllers come with an immersion well for the equipment’s tank?

No, the Tempro immersion controller does not come with an immersion well, though most boiler and hot water heaters will already have one installed that the bulb can already be fitted to. Additionally, our STEMCO division at Senasys does provide immersion wells (thermowells). So if needed, contact us!

Can I customize the immersion controller to meet my application requirements?

Yes! Contact our direct technical support team with your application requirements here .
