Heating or Cooling Mode
For operators looking to activate equipment like fans or heating elements based on temperature:
- Set the device below ambient temperature to turn on the equipment.
- Increase the setting above ambient temperature to turn off the equipment.
- Adjust the differential from 1°-30°F to manage when the equipment will stop. For instance, to heat a system, set the thermostat at 40°F; the heat element activates when the ambient temperature hits 40°F (±1°). Conversely, to cool an area, set the thermostat at 70°F; a fan activates when the temperature reaches 70°F (±1°).

Heating or Cooling Limit Setting
This function is used to deactivate equipment based on temperature changes:
- Set the temperature above ambient to turn off the equipment.
- Decrease the setting below ambient to keep the equipment running.
- Use the differential setting to control the restart of the unit. For heating, set the thermostat at 70°F; the unit deactivates when the temperature hits 70°F (±1°). For cooling, set it at 40°F; the unit stops when the temperature reaches 40°F (±1°).

Fan & Limit Operations
This feature allows simultaneous operation of different equipment types:
- Set the temperature for one piece of equipment to activate (e.g., a fan) and another to deactivate (e.g., a heating element) using the fan & limit function.
- For example, maintain air temperature between 70°F and 75°F; a fan activates to cool the area above 75°F and deactivates the heating element. A 5°F differential ensures the heating element reactivates at 70°F and the fan stops until the temperature rises again.
